Welcome to 7901 Locust Ln in Madeira! The house has been fully renovated and has an impressive kitchen and bathrooms on both first and second floors. Hardwood floors ground the first floor and newly installed carpet on the second floor create quiet spaces for sleeping and studying! The lower level of the house is partially finished and second half houses the mechanicals and the laundry room as well as the bulk storage. The finished side of the lower level is waterproofed with a sump pump interior drainage system.
The Kitchen was renovated to the studs in 2016 and was professionally renovated with permits. The cabinets are a glazed gray finish over a maple wood. The appliances are a matte gray from GE, countertops are a Quartzite with movement and the prep service backsplashes adorn 3×6 white subway tiles. The island is large enough to eat 3 at that surface and the adjoining dining room can fit a larger scale dining room for larger events. The crown moulding is scribed to the ceiling and is one of many nods to the quality of the kitchen space!
The rear door walks you onto the deck and into your private backyard space.
The exterior is a brick first floor, vinyl sided second floor. Most windows are replacement vinyl double hungs while the two on the rear second floor are wood double hungs- double pane insulated. The deck on the rear could use some love and I’d recommend that the future owner of the house think of replacing the deck with an at grade concrete patio. The shade trellis is incredible and should be enjoyed for years to come as you entertain outside of your chefs gourmet kitchen!
The First floor bathroom was done in 2016 when the kitchen was renovated. It is a professionally renovated space with everything new from studs out. The frameless shower door, the storage cubbies, the wood vanity- its supply house no Home Depot quality! Renovated for pleasure, not resale- the fit and finish of this house is higher than a $300k cape cod in our 2019 market!
The first floor has a rear bedroom. While modest in scale, it offers enough room for a queen bed and dresser, modest closet and hardwood floors.
The Second Floor of the home has a massive dormer with a low slope membrane roof from 2015. The scale of the space is incredible and makes the house the quintessential “Sleeper” house- modest on the outside from elevation and lives large from the interior! The walls are freshly painted a neutral gray and carpet is newly installed gray medium pile carpet.
The bathroom on the second floor is new as of 2019 and was done by a professional renovator. It was taken down the studs, new from the tile floor up and has a timeless esthetic.
